We travel for different reasons: to experience something new and expand our horizons, to relax and recharge our batteries, to open ourselves up to new ways of living, to face and overcome challenges, to revisit a favorite spot, or to make dreams come true. But no matter what type of trip we embark upon, the experience always serves as a break in the rhythm of our lives. This intermission from routine has many valuable benefits in the moment, but perhaps more importantly, enriches us even after we return home.
Travel leads us home with new eyes to see our own environments, relationships, and habits with a slightly different perspective. It enables us to appreciate a bit more clearly what we cherish, and also what we may no longer value or need. It renews our spirit, soul, happiness, and creativity, and helps to keep our life in balance. It inspires us to champion causes, support the health of our planet, embrace diversity.
Mejo Memoir Journals and Companion Guidebooks help to keep that travel experience alive and bring it home with us. The following blog posts are some of the stories from my travels and I'll add more as I have time.
